PR

I stayed at Dormy Inn Global Cabin Asakusa.

The following is a brief summary.

Bad points

  • A little bit old.
  • Twin cabin rooms are not recommended.
  • Women cannot enter the hot spring on weekdays.

Good points

  • Hot Spring
  • Footbath.
  • Free coffee.
  • Free ice cream, lactobacillus drink, and ramen noodles.
  • Very close to the station (1-2 minutes).

Residential semi-double room” is highly recommended. I stayed here for less than 10,000 yen, but the service is more than a luxury hotel. I recommend this hotel especially for those who want to work in a hotel well, such as workcation. I stayed two nights and stayed in different types of rooms.

Twin Cabin Room on the First Day

I stayed in a “twin cabin room” on the first day. The whole room looked old, but it was well cleaned. It was an unusual room with bunk beds like those found in so-called capsule hotels. The desk is not comfortable for working on a computer, but can be used for some work.

The bed is clean, but the TV above the bed is a bit odd…

The bathroom was clean. The Polar shampoo set was placed there. It’s a delight for women.

Residential Semi-double Room on the Second Day

It was a lovely room. If available, I would highly recommend the “Residential Semi-Double Room.” The price may vary depending on the day, but it was not significantly different from the “Twin Cabin Room” I stayed in the first day. The beds are Simmons.

I would highly recommend this room to anyone who works on a computer as it has such a comfortable desk. As shown in the photo on the left, a 2-door refrigerator and a microwave oven are also provided.

There is also a sink like this. This room is like a so-called one-room apartment.

This is the view from the room, very nice.

The Tokyo Sky Tree is so beautiful at night.

Dormy Inn Global Cabin Asakusa Features

Dormy Inn global cabin Asakusa has a footbath. Hours of operation (for both men and women) are from 15:00 to 10:00 the next day, but it is closed between 1:00 and 5:00 am. Since it is outside, I was a little worried about mosquitoes in summer, so I could not stay in it for a long time. People who are prone to mosquito bites should be careful.

There is a large bathroom with sauna on the 10th floor.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. for men
Fri, Sat, Sun, Holidays Women 3 pm – 8 pm Men 8:30 pm – 10 am the next morning
Women are not allowed on weekdays.

In front of the spa on the 10th floor, free ice cream is provided.

Lactobacillus beverages are free in the morning.

However, you can enter the hot spring baths of the sister restaurant here, “Oyado Nono Asakusa” for free.I stayed on a weekday, so I could not enter Dormy Inn global cabin Asakusa, so I walked to “Oyado Nono Asakusa” for two days. It takes about 10 minutes on foot. Since it is a hot spring, I could not take pictures, but it was a nice hot spring with a sauna. The “Oyado Nono Asakusa” is a more upscale hotel.

Dormy Inn is usually famous for its all-you-can-drink coffee, but what was great about Dormy Inn global cabin Asakusa was the all-you-can-drink oolong tea as well as coffee. I stayed on a very hot summer day, so I was very grateful for the all-you-can-drink oolong tea.

This was the first time I had this “Yonaki Soba” and I was very impressed with its taste. It tastes better than most ramen shops. Yonaki Soba is served free of charge every day at “1F Restaurant” from 21:30 to 23:00.

Coin-operated laundries are also available.

There is also a microwave oven, and even spoons and chopsticks.

Dormy Inn global cabin Asakusa Location

The biggest advantage of Dormy Inn global cabin Asakusa is that it is anyway close to Asakusa station. The location is excellent. It is a 1-2 minute walk from exit 5 of Asakusa Station on the Ginza Subway Line and a 3-minute walk from Senso-ji Temple and Kaminarimon. The picture above shows the entrance. To be honest, it doesn’t feel like a luxury or nice hotel, but the employees are very nice.
